ARTIST BIO:
Tanya works with a variety of different media and disciplines. In particular Painting, Drawing, Textiles, Photography and Digital Art; she has also dabbled in Ceramics, Jewellery, Printmaking and Sculpture. She specialises in: Bright, bold, acrylic abstracts. Photographic prints inspired by nature. Graphite portraits of people and animals. For the past 2 years Tanya has called Stewart Island, New Zealand home. She has a varied background in art, clothing and textiles, horticulture, hospitality and zoology. In 2007 she completed a Certificate in Creative Studies, and attended Art School in Dunedin in 2008 before returning to her scientific roots in 2009. She now holds two Masters Degrees in Forensic Textiles and Entomology, both from Otago University. Her current body of artworks are shaped by her love of nature and the colours of the environment around her.
