Paintings

I've always been crafty but painting started it all. In 2007 I entered my first gallery show of emerging artists because a friend talked me into it, I sold 2 of my 4 pieces and I realised that others were interested in my work just as much as I was and my hobby became something more than just a creative outlet.
Some of my works are available as prints or merchandise from my redbubble page

Older pieces

Over the years my paintings have evolved and developed. These works are a selection of my older styles which I no longer produce on a regular basis. Most of these pieces have been sold or gifted, similar pieces are available via commission if interested.

Current works

I have 3 current painting styles which I switch between, depending on where my artistic mood is taking me. Some of the following images for each series are still available via my business website: Aurora Arts and Gifts
Commission pieces are welcome, please contact me to discuss options and pricing.

Stripey series

My longest running series makes a bright bold statement in any room. Artworks can be produced in any available canvas size to specifically match any colour scheme or wall space. The most recent pieces have all been inspired by images I have taken from various locations around Stewart Island, and I am happy to work with your own photographs to produce your very own one of a kind piece which has significant meaning to you.

Acrylic Pours

My friend described this series as "fun and trippy, like the paint is on acid". The only thing I can control about these pieces is the colour selection, how they are layered in the cup and the pouring method the paint is applied to the canvas. Once the paint touches the canvas, the outcome is in the hands of the art gods. Commissions in this series may be taken, however, you must be aware that I can not control the final outcome and I can not reproduce anything you see here.

Abstraction series

This series is all about enjoying the process of painting, rather than having a fixed outcome. It is my favourite series to date. I am not currently taking commissions in this series, however, I may in the future. Please feel free to enquire.
